Dorene Mangels Founded Destin4 Interiors in 2012 with 20+ years experience in retail, furnishings, fixtures, custom window treatments & home decor.  Her instinct for design was discovered at an early age by her father; owner of Designs by Dean. He challenged her natural abilities during installations and encouraged her to develop the skills to carry out each project herself. To be taken seriously for her Color & Design Intuition she returned to Berkeley College where she obtained her Interior Design degree.

Her goal when designing a client's space to reflect their personality; delivering a space that appears collected over time but completely functional. She uses her background in color psychology to select a livable palette, mixing traditional bones with current influences layering pattern & textures that are both beautiful and comfortable that they are sure to love. Dorene is so passionate about color and space planning that it's been a natural transition to relate her talents to helping couples style their Wedding or other significant events.

In her free time she enjoys repurposing furniture, contributing to Houzz, custom art, helping brides with wedding details, being outdoors, building shelters and animal rescue. In fact she named the company after her cats.
